Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist
Each day we are given a new start, and each day we must decide what we are going to fuel our body with. At times this may be an overwhelming task especially if there are diet restrictions or specific dietary needs that have to be met. The internet is flooded with choices, ads, and conflicting information that make it difficult to really find the truth about what to eat. There are so many “diet” options advertised and trying to decide which is the best one for you is time consuming and the information is all over the place! Let me join you as you navigate the food challenges and help you initiate a healthy, well-balanced diet, and lifestyle. It is my goal to work with individuals to help them on their health journey and walk with them as they learn how to eat and plan healthy meals.
I have over 20 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian helping individuals learn how to improve their diet. I also have over 30 years of experience managing diabetes. Not only am I a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, but I also live with Type 1 Diabetes. I understand, from firsthand experience, the importance of following a healthy and well-balanced diet for my own health and wellbeing. I had to teach myself how to manage my blood sugars in the wake of parties and family gatherings, and I want to help you learn how to do this as well. Whether it be due to diabetes, weight loss, health conditions, or just the desire to improve your health, I can help you.
I completed my undergraduate degree at Framingham State University in 1999. I have been practicing for over 20 years, mostly in private practice, but more recently in the outpatient setting. Not only do I have a passion to help people with their food choices, but I enjoy fitness as well. I have worked as a personal trainer and currently I am working towards competing as a powerlifter. I love getting stronger and incorporating strength training into my fitness plan. Additionally, I have completed my master’s degree in public health with a concentration on health promotion from Liberty University in 2022. I truly love helping people as they travel along their health journey and watching them succeed is pure joy!
